HaydnBurgh “Champion String Quartets”

HaydnBurgh is a project dedicated solely to the performance of string quartets by the all-time champion of the genre, the "Father of the String Quartet," Joseph Haydn. This program will feature one of Haydn's early quartets, the rarely performed Opus 9, #1 in C major; a fiendishly difficult quartet from Haydn's middle period, Op. 50 #4 in F# minor; and one of the last quartets he wrote, an audience favorite, Op. 77, #1 in G.

Artists for this concert will be Warren Davidson and Ashley Freeburn, violin, Rachel McGuire, viola, and Michael Lipman, cello.
